WYC is an organisation gathering young people from all over the world on the issues of Youth and Development.
What is the aim and objectives of WYC?
The main aim of WYC is to gather together young people from different nationalities and to inspire them take action on issues such as poverty, climate change, peace, democracy and human rights. However, this event will also enable you to find out more about Türkiye, Turkish society and Turkish culture, and especially the old Turkish solidarity system, “imece”. When will the congress take place?
The Congress will be held from the 31st of July till the 13th of August, 2010.
Where will the congress be hosted?
The congress will take place in 2010’s European Capital of Culture which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Istanbul. Yıldız Technical University Davutpaşa Campus will be welcoming us all for the Congress.
What about accommodation?
The student dormitory which will be completed by General Directorate of Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution in Davudpaşa will provide accommodation.
Is there any participation fee?
There is no participation fee to be a part of this great event.
What makes World Youth Congress so important?
Being the young generation of today we must work together with governments and other stakeholders to try solve the worlds problems and bring positive change for the future. Therefore we must take action,work to make poverty history, create peace, and ensure human rights and democracy for all.
How to participate?

What is meant by 'Youth'? What age do I have to be to be eligible?
Applicants should be between the ages of 15 and 30 in order to take part in the Congress.
What will be covered by organization during the WYC 2010?
Your accomodation and food expenses during the Congress will be covered by organization. However, your travel expenses and special needs will not be covered by organization.
